ABOUT SONGS FROM ABOVE just like a dove · Formed in Dec 2003, by Cameroonian-born songwriter Nkeng “Mr. Cole” Alemanji. · What is a Song From Above? – A song from above is a song that goes out, generates money, and uses that money to buy the world a little more love. · Songs From Above, LLC is a music company interested in success, and equally aggressively interested in doing work for children and families that strengthens them where they are, or guides them to lift themselves out of where they are (if ‘where they are’ happens to be changeable poverty, reversible despair, or illuminable lack of hope). The company writes, records, releases, composes, produces and publishes music; and also develops and releases artists. · Recently their original music was featured in ”Kenya Stories” by director Carol Pineau (BBC Doc. Of the Year & Africa Vision awards recipient), and in “America’s Hot Musician” a reality show which aired in 2008. · Mr. Cole has appeared on BET, MTV2, & MHz (with Mello-D & The Rados) & on Cameroon National Radio & TV. |

ABOUT "TWENTY TEN IN AFRICA" The song “Twenty Ten in Africa” is driven by an electrifying African/Dance beat and moving bass vocals. It has a catchy melody, with lyrics which celebrate African football’s most highly regarded ambassador, Roger Milla; the song announces the Twenty Ten games in South Africa (which is first time ever the World Cup is held in Africa). The chorus of the song is: “Everybody stand up – it’s Twenty Ten in Africa / score goals dance Makossa, like Milla in Italia”… With “Twenty Ten” bringing the soccer-loving community to their feet, getting fans from Africa, The Middle East, South America, Europe, the US, etc. excited for the 2010 World Cup games in South Africa, maybe this song strikes just the right note. Why music:
Because music is the one thing any 2 people can have a favorable conversation about – an exciting conversation even. When I formed Songs From Above, and before then, I had always wanted to be part of the conversation – especially the conversation(s) where ideas are exchanged, and soon thereafter, action is taken on some of those ideas. - Yeah! J - that’s why music.
And also because… man, when’s the last time you went to a concert, and did not feel absolutely insanely happy, or inspired, or free?

We have previously worked on:
Kenya Stories, Africa Investment Horizon, and America's Hot Musician; they recently licensed our original music compositions.
